I am in hair limbo. As many of you know, I have had totally fried out (literally- Mom wink wink) bleach blonde hair since September ‘08. I haven’t bleached it since September ‘09 when I nearly fried it off. You know, I thought I would give my scalp some time to recover so cut it super short and just let it grow. After 7 months I still have streaks of blonde on the very tips. I like that it is not completely gone but I need a haircut and that means the blonde will be gone and I will be left with my natural hair color? Holy crap. I haven’t had my natural hair color since…I don’t even remember. It’s that not really brown but not really blonde color.
In order to save money all my siblings have been trying to get better at cutting hair. “trying”. So my brother and sister-in-law are going to take a stab at it tonight. Hair experiment. I am thinking shorter on the sides and a bit of punk on top. Then even once the blonde is all gone, there will still be some edge. I still have some bleach left so I can always do that again.
Aren’t you meant to grow out of the hair experimenting age around 17?

I realize that my hair is probably not as textured as hers but it’s bound to look punky no matter what. I don’t think we’ll shave that close though. Should be fun.
